Through the preliminary study of physical anthropology such as sex and age, bone pathology observation and body development conducted on three cases of human bones unearthed in Zezhou and Murai sites in Shanxi Province, we can see that all three cases were male and the death age was generally in adulthood. Ml individuals had dental caries, degenerative spondylolisthesis, and “riding facets” pathological changes, M1 and H26: 1 also existed. In addition, the average height of the male inhabitants of the village site is about 164.58 cm. This provides a new material for understanding the living conditions of the ancients in Shanxi Plateau during the Spring and Autumn Period.
