印象中,乔叶的小说一直写得绵密而别致,宛如一个极擅裁剪的良工做出来的衣物,不规则中透露出规则,褶皱中隐含着平整,古人所谓别出心裁,大约就是如此吧。《妊娠纹》这篇小说堪称乔叶小说中的上品,看似漫不经心的叙述,实则寄寓了作者别具一格的匠心。这当然不是指小说结构的设置,如现在时与过去时的交错回环之类,甚至也不仅仅是指小说主题意象的陌生新奇,而是指作者刻画女主人公心理状态及其嬗变的高超技艺。不妨说,乔叶在这篇小说中再次展示了她拥有心理分析师的资质。
