The authors measured the field spectral reflectance of six reservoirs with different sediment contents and the airborne remote sensing flight of a multispectral scanner. Through the analysis of ground truth, spectral reflectance and multi-spectral film, the best visible-light near-infrared region of 640-800 nm is obtained for the suspended sediment in surface water of remote sensing reservoirs. There is a logarithmic correlation between the average reflectivity of water bodies in the selected bands and the concentration of suspended sediment in the sediment concentration range of milligrams per liter, whereas the optical density recorded in the selected band multispectral film There is a roughly logarithmic correlation between logarithmic and sediment concentrations.
