红二师即是中国工农革命军第二师,是1927年10月在海(丰)陆(丰)惠(阳)紫(金)边区朝面山、中峒成立的,主要由南昌起义军留存在海陆丰根据地的部分队伍改编而成。红四师即是中国工农革命军第四师,1927年12月17日在花县县立高级小学成立,由广州起义军余部改编而成。1928年1月5日,红四师抵达海丰县城,与彭湃领导的工农革命武装和红二师会合。
The second division of the Red Army was the second division of the Chinese Workers ’and Peasants’ Revolutionary Army.
