广东外语外贸大学是一所具有鲜明国际化特色的广东省属重点大学,是华南地区国际化人才培养和外国语言文学、对外经济贸易、国际战略研究的重要基地。2015年,学校入选高水平大学重点学科建设项目高校,有2个项目获批建设,分别是“面向国际语言服务的外国语言文学创新体系建设”和“服务21世纪海上丝绸之路重大战略需求的经管学科融合创新体系建设”。“面向国际语言服务的外国语言文学创新体系建设”项目,依托外国语言文学、中国语言文学、新闻传播学、管理科学与工程学科,建成国际语言服务研究平台、国际语言在线教育平台、国际语言服务数据平台、语言服务企业培育平台。
