The treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma depends on the size and stage of the tumor and whether it occurs in healthy liver tissue or in hardened liver tissue. The International Cancer Center (UICC) has proposed the classification and staging of TNM for hepatocellular carcinoma. In addition, fibrous plate type of hepatocellular carcinoma is a special type with good prognosis. Current surgical treatment tends to use the radical method as much as possible. Other treatment options must take into account the need to extend survival time as much as possible.
