由香草醛或对-羟基苯甲醛经溴化,用甲氧基取代溴原子,和将酚羟基转变成甲氧基得到TMP的重要中间体——3,4,5-三甲氧基苯甲醛。对一羟基苯甲醛由(a)苯酚和三氯乙醛缩合后,在DMF溶液中用甲醇钠分解制成;(b)对-硝基甲苯与硫化钠反应生成对-氨基苯甲醛,再使后者重氮化、水解制得。
Bromination of vanillin or p-hydroxybenzaldehyde with a methoxy group for the bromine atom, and conversion of the phenolic hydroxyl group into a methoxy group gives the important intermediate of TMP - 3,4,5-trimethoxybenzaldehyde.
