过去两个世纪,大跨度桥梁建设取得了巨大成就。对此,结构理论的发展和材料强度的提高起了决定性作用。计算表明,高级复合材料斜拉桥的极限跨(通常指结构能支承自重的跨度),可比钢斜拉桥提高一倍以上。本建议还对悬索桥和斜拉桥主缆的材料用量进行了比较。
Over the past two centuries, great-span bridge construction has made great achievements. In this regard, the development of structural theory and material strength played a decisive role. Calculations show that the ultimate span of the advanced composite cable-stayed bridge (usually referred to as the span over which the structure can support self-weight) can be double that of steel cable-stayed bridges. The proposal also compares the amount of material used for the main cables of suspension bridges and cable-stayed bridges.
