March 19, 1959, Institute of Mineral Deposit Geochemistry, Institute of Rock Mineral Geochemistry held a meeting of the Research Commission on the Distribution of Endogenic Deposits. Attending the meeting were scientific research units from all parts of the Soviet Union and representatives from the production department of the prefecture. In his opening remarks, Professor Sokolov, Chairman of the Committee, set forth the basic principles and tasks of the Commission and its 1959-1960 work plan. E.E.
