茅盾故居是中国现代文学馆的一个组成部分。1985年3月27日,即茅盾去世四周年纪念日,正式对外开放。茅盾的名字,几乎尽人皆知,他是中国文坛的一颗巨星,他的文学作品传遍全世界。许多人看过他写的小说,喜爱这些小说。茅盾早期创作的长篇小说《子夜》,曾深深地吸引了无数革命青年,使他们具体地了解了三十年代的中国社会,成为他们接受革命启蒙教育的生动教材。
Former Residence of Mao Dun is an integral part of the Museum of Modern Chinese Literature. March 27, 1985, the fourth anniversary of Mao Dun’s death, officially opened to the outside world. Mao Dun’s name, almost everyone knows, he is a superstar in Chinese literary world, his literary works spread all over the world. Many people read his novels and love these novels. Mao Dun’s early creation, “Midnight,” once deeply attracted countless revolutionary youths and gave them a concrete understanding of Chinese society in the 1930s as a vivid teaching material for their revolutionary enlightenment education.
