Entrusted by the Ministry of Education, Jiangsu Provincial Basic Education Research Center was established at Nanjing Normal University yesterday. The center will complete the reform of the existing primary and secondary school basic education curriculum setting within five years and build a teaching system focusing on cultivating students’ innovative spirit and practical ability. The new basic education curriculum will select the basic knowledge and basic skills necessary for lifelong learning and development, respecting children’s psychology.
