张国基,字颐生,号晋裕,1894年生于湖南益阳市资阳区迎风桥镇的一个耕读之家。幼时在家乡私塾就读,1915年考入湖南第一师范,与毛泽东同窗五载,交情深厚。1920年受新民学会派遣前往南洋从教。1927年经毛泽东、周以栗介绍加入中国共产党。1958年回国,先后担任北京华侨补习学校校长、北京文史馆馆长等职,1984年当选为第三届全国侨联主席。1992年,“百岁老人”、著名的华侨
Zhang Guoshi, Zi Yi Sheng, No. Jin Yu, was born in 1894 in Yiyang City, Hunan Yiyang Ying Feng Bridge Town, a farming home. When he was young, he was educated in his hometown private school. In 1915, he was admitted to the first teacher in Hunan province and lived with his classmates Mao Zedong for five years. In 1920 by the Xinmin Institute sent to Southeast Asia from teaching. In 1927 by Mao Zedong, Zhou Li introduced to join the Chinese Communist Party. In 1958, he returned to China and successively served as president of Beijing Overseas Chinese Cram School and director of Beijing Museum of History.
