Ten sorghum lines which were poorly characterized in inheritance and lack of wax were crossed with six lines of known genetic trait. Also with less wax is the strain h_4 and some less wax is the line of hybrids. The F 1 and F 2 populations of these combinations were categorized to obtain phenotypic segregation ratios. F_1 plants were classified in the greenhouse and F_2 populations were classified in the field. Card square test for statistical analysis to determine the fitness. Phenotypic segregation usually occurs at F_2, indicating the presence of different genes, but without isolation the same gene is indicated.
