柑桔潜叶蛾是夏秋季严重为害我县柑桔苗圃新梢的主要害虫。新叶受害率高达30—40％。被害的嫩叶严重卷曲,伤口易感染溃疡病,既影响苗木生长,又降低苗木质量。过去采用喷药防治,常遇有效农药缺乏,加以夏秋季放梢期间多雨,喷药后往往达不到防治效果。本试验根据潜叶蛾成虫昼伏夜出、晚间产卵的习性,利用农用薄膜在成虫夜出前覆盖苗木,避开成虫在嫩叶上产卵,以达到防治的目的。现将试验结果初报如下。
