语言是文化的一个组成部分。语言与文化就像一枚硬币的两个不同的面而不可分割。《英语课程标准》指出:文化意识包括文化知识、文化理解、跨文化交际意识和能力,文化意识是得体运用语言的保证,要比较得体地运用英语进行交际,就需要系统地掌握英语国家的文化。培养学生的文化意识会帮助学生了解世界和中西方文化的差异,拓展视野,为终身学习和发展打下良好的基础。因此,培养文化意识应成为英语教学不可分割的组成部分。
Language is an integral part of culture. Language and culture are like indivisible faces of two different faces of a coin. The English Curriculum Standard states that cultural awareness includes cultural knowledge, cultural understanding, awareness and ability of intercultural communication, and cultural awareness as a guarantee for the proper use of language. To properly use English to communicate, we must systematically master the culture of English-speaking countries . Cultivating students’ cultural awareness will help students to understand the differences between the world and Chinese and Western cultures, broaden their horizons and lay a good foundation for lifelong learning and development. Therefore, cultivating cultural awareness should become an integral part of English teaching.
