花木兰是中国家喻户晓的传奇性英雄人物,北朝时期的乐府《木兰诗》讲述了一个普通的农家女子木兰女扮男装代父从军的传奇故事。唐代皇帝曾追封其为“孝烈将军”并设祠纪念。在中国,木兰的忠孝节义更是流传至今。1998年美国迪士尼将“花木兰”这个角色搬上荧屏,将中国元素与美国式幽默相结合,创作出喜剧冒险动画影片《花木兰》,这部共88分钟的影片中共有音乐44段,其中歌曲共7首,一首片头音乐,一首场景音乐,33段背景音乐构成。剧中以幽默、夸张,生动、形象手法再现了花木兰的英勇事迹。
