我居所的后院,杂草之隙,花方种,树初栽,此情势虽然时时惹人憧憬,但自知一两年之内绝不会风光醉人。院子的三面是院墙,它是硅谷附近常见的那种院墙,一片片竖置的木板连接而成;因为长年累月的日晒雨淋,木板已由黄变黑,有的地方甚至已经破败不堪,遇上刮大风的天气,那些破败的地方有时还会啪啦啦作响。
The backyard of my residence, the gap of weeds, the species of flowers, and the early planting of trees, although this situation has always been irritating, I know that within a year or two I will never be intoxicated. On the three sides of the yard is the courtyard wall, which is the kind of wall that is common near Silicon Valley. It is made up of pieces of wood that are connected vertically. Because of the sun and rain that have been going on for months and months, the boards have turned from yellow to black, and some places have even been dilapidated. In case of windy weather, sometimes those broken places will crash.
