七十年代以来,用于渔业捕捞的仪器与装备的发展极为迅速,探鱼仪的机型、性能也发生了令人瞩目的变化。自五十年代的电子管,六十年代的晶体管、七十年代的集成电路、八十年代的微处理技术都相继在探鱼仪上获得应用。微处理机及存贮器件的应用使得探鱼仪不但在体积重量等方面有极大的改善,更重要的是使仪器的功能、性能有新的发展,如垂直探鱼仪中的分层扩大、海底锁定扩大、图象在荧光屏上的稳定显示、时间相关、幅度相关、噪音抑制电路等等都成为现实。水声技术和微处理机及彩色显示器相结合产生了彩色探鱼仪—彩色垂直探鱼仪及彩色水平探鱼仪。因此可以说彩色探鱼仪是现代电子技术的结
