杨振宁7岁来到清华园,那年他父亲杨武之应聘到清华大学任算学系教授。清华大学物理系和算学系当时都在科学馆办公,科学馆是杨振宁小时候最喜欢的一个地方,尤其夏天,里面特别凉快。2003年杨先生正式回到清华大学任全职教授~(2))。之后他创办的高等研究中心从理科楼搬回到科学馆,杨先生形容自己的人生画了一个圆。那段时间,他特别喜欢读20世纪英国大诗人T.S.Eliot的一首诗,并亲自译成中文,其中的两句是:
