阎锡山在台湾存之日记,自1931年(民国20年)春起,至1950年(民国30年)12月止,计18本,40余万字.初名《感想日记》.1996年5月,台北阎伯川纪念会,将阎之《感想日记》全部出版,并更名为《阎伯川先生感想录》.感想录之特点,文字多为记理,而事则记载较少.诚如阎自述:“记事是主观的,记理是客观的.记事是为自己留痕迹,记理是对人类作贡献.我不愿为自己留痕迹,愿对人类有所贡献.”据《感想录》出版说明:阎晚年在台北,“对感想录偶有过修改.”该录为日记体裁,按年、月、日记载.除多数为语录体式的格言外,间记有重要函电、对干部讲话、治省方略、会客答问、家事简记、史事忆往,及部分诗作.而其中诗作除1933年8月1日记:“一病缠身万事休,光阴虚度古人忧,此生尚有多少日,岁月何堪若此流”的一首外,绝大部分均为1937年、1938年抗日战争时期在晋北、晋南、晋西战争环境中所作.阎诗多不合韵律平仄,近乎“打油”诗体.1941年夏,在吉县克难坡战区行营驻地,一天数人去阎居室研究修改《洪炉歌词》及《望河亭联句》时,在山西省政府任职之宁君超武、王君葵经,均为三晋诗词硕彦,兼谈及集阎诗作,并提出修正其诗之韵律平仄问题.阎听后颇不以为然.且曰:“自古诗词格律皆
