当前很多品牌商在国内有众多的供应商,并且它们对这些上游供应商均有EHS风险控制水平的要求,例如GE,沃尔玛,星巴克等等,均会通过对供应商进行定期EHS审核,提出问题点并要求供应商进行改善从而来推动供应商在环保,健康和安全方面的改善,例如根据GE 2013年可持续发展报告,2013年GE公司审核超过一千家中国供应商,而沃尔玛发布的社会责任报告显示其全球有10万以上供应商,中国是其最多供应商所在地,这些供应商都必须定期经历沃尔玛的EHS审核以确保其合格供应商地位。然而,这种基于商业利益关系而要求供应商提高EHS风险控制水平的要求,在很多情况下并不为供应商所买账,供应商的理由很简单,EHS风险控制水平的提高需要投入人力和物力,而当供应商对商业利益的预期低于这种投入时,供应商对EHS的改善往往敷衍了事,甚至拒绝执行。这种情况往往使品牌商在供应链的开发和维护过程中带来很多被动,供应商因此也无法成为品牌商的合格供应商,从而失去了相应的商机。我们通过分析认为,这种情况的发生在很大程度上是因双方对这一事务所带来的共赢点没有被充分的沟通而被忽视,特别是给供应商带来的利益,很容易被其管理层所忽视。
