The presence of both Father and Father in the august drama of august shows that in the absence or presence of black father, Negroes always appear as a negative image in Wilson’s writings, giving the family unspeakable suffering. It endeavored to arouse black self-awareness and group awareness and help them get out of the shadow of racial discrimination.
