OBJECTIVE: To investigate the preventive and control measures of quality control using Central Plains Associated Bloodstream Infection (CLABSI), and to improve the compliance of staff with their precautionary measures and to reduce the incidence of CLABSI. Methods From July 2015 to June 2016, 132 patients admitted to ICU with central venous catheter were selected as the control group, and 141 patients admitted to ICU as central venous catheter from July 2016 to June 2017 were selected as the observation group. The use of some quality control practices for all patients with re-catheter intervention measures to implement the cluster prevention strategy at the same time, the strict management of the details observed the incidence of CLABSI after intervention. Count data were compared using χ ~ 2 test, P <0.05 for the difference was statistically significant. Results The infection rate of the observation group was 2.20 ‰ lower than that of the conventional group of 10.20 ‰, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion The quality control method applied to prevent central venous catheter-related bloodstream infections can effectively reduce the infection rate.
