周汝昌,我国著名红学家,是继胡适等诸先生之后,新中国研究《红楼梦》的第一人,享誉海内外的考证派主力和集大成者。他1918年3月4日生于天津成水沽镇。燕京大学西语系毕业,曾就教于华西大学、四川大学。
Zhou Ruchang, a famous Hongxuejia in China, is the first person to study “A Dream of Red Mansions” in New China following the precepts of Hu Shih and other masters. He was born in Chengshuigu Town, Tianjin on March 4, 1918. Yanjing University graduated from the Western Department, had taught in Huaxi University, Sichuan University.
