中国南海粤东海域活跃着一艘特殊的渔船,巡视、盯守、查缉,在缉私一线屡建战功。这是目前中国海关为数不多的情报工作船之一。根据日益复杂的海上反走私斗争需要,汕头海关于2004年组建了这艘缉私情报工作船。此船设施简陋,条件艰苦,但隐蔽性强,能够近敌作战,在情报经营和海上查缉中发挥了重大作用。据统计,汕头海关情报工作船自组建以来,查获海上走私香烟、象牙、成品油、野生动物、电子产品、冻品等案件共120多宗,案值约20.4亿元。
