民国时期,道院组织在华北慈善领域非常活跃,机构数量多、成员众,为开展慈善事业提供了保证;除了宣扬道慈并修的思想外,道院还积极参与赈灾、济贫、教育、战场救护以及国际援助等活动;但在救济的过程中,其落后、保守的一面也不时地表现出来。
During the period of the Republic of China, Daoist organizations were very active in the field of charity in North China with a large number of institutions and a large number of members, which provided a guarantee for the development of charities.
