在化工设备制造中,常采用铝和铝合金制作各种容器,以前我厂这些设备的焊接均采用钨极手工氩弧焊。当容器壁厚较小时,尚能获得满意的结果,但当容器壁厚大于12毫米时,为了获得良好的焊缝质量,就需要采取焊前预热和多层焊接的措施,使劳动条件恶化,生产率也很低。因此研制了 MDA—500熔化极半自动氩弧焊机,采用这种焊机焊接8~20毫米厚的铝板,不需要预热,正反面焊一遍即可,提高了劳动生产率和产品
