Q: What’s your impression of modern Chinese sculpture? A: Two months ago, I was very impressed with the visit of the Chinese Students Sculpture Exhibition in San Diego. In contrast, the New York modern sculpture is rather boring, feeling the Chinese sculpture is very exciting. Q: You call yourself a freelance sculptor. In China, most of the sculptors survive in the academic state. How do you think the two states affect the creation of sculptures?
