由于韩国和中国台湾地区的生产厂家增产，加之中国大陆控制产品进口，亚洲市场聚酯长纤的价格开始下跌。 亚洲市场聚酯长纤的价格自１９９９年２月到５月上涨了近６０％，但进入６月以后开始下跌，其主要原因是曾一度停产的韩国和台湾地区生产聚酯长纤的厂家从３月起恢复生产。
Due to the increase in production of Korean and Chinese Taiwanese manufacturers and the controlled imports of products from mainland China, the price of polyester filaments in the Asian market began to fall. The price of polyester filaments in the Asian market has increased by nearly 60% from February to May 1999. However, it began to decline after entering June. This is mainly due to the production of polyester filaments in South Korea and Taiwan which had been discontinued for some time. It resumed production from March.
