自美国总统克林顿于1993年9月在《经济发展战略》中首先提出建设信息高速公路以来,一场新的信息革命浪潮席卷全球,一时成为讨论热点。由于信息高速公路是以现代化计算机网络、通讯技术为基础的通过光纤传输文学、声音、图像的信息网络,因此,它的建设与图书馆事业的发展有着密切的关系。因此本文就信息高速公路对图书馆的影响及应采取的对策,谈点肤浅的意见。
Since U.S. President Bill Clinton first proposed the construction of an information superhighway in the “Economic Development Strategy” in September 1993, a new wave of information revolution swept the world and became a hot topic for some time. Since the information superhighway is an information network transmitting literary, audio, and pictures through optical fiber based on modern computer network and communication technology, its construction is closely related to the development of the library. Therefore, this article discusses the impact of the information superhighway on the library and the countermeasures it should take to discuss superficial opinions.
