溴甲烷广泛用作粮食、木材的熏蒸剂、土壤消毒剂、杀虫剂及杀菌剂。此外,其甲基化合物还可作为灭火剂、冷冻剂、杀鼠剂和生产染料的原料。自1952年以来,日本已发现急性中毒100例,因此,溴甲烷中毒已经引起人们的重视。作者近期收集了5例急性中毒病例,报告如下:
Methyl bromide is widely used as food, wood fumigant, soil disinfectant, insecticide and fungicide. In addition, its methyl compounds can also be used as fire extinguishing agents, refrigerants, rodenticides and raw materials for the production of dyes.
