“驳枝”是我县红烟区特殊的栽培技术,是一项增加产量、提高质量的重要措施。红烟经驳枝后,叶片变长变窄,叶肉肥厚,油润光亮,烟碱等内含成分增加,香味醇浓,燃烧性良好,灰色银白、不散落,顶部的三、四片叶——“顶雾叶”,品质尤佳,具有特殊香气,够劲而顺喉,吸后良久仍有余香。据试验和生产调查,在栽培条件一致和留叶数亦相同的情况下,驳枝比不驳枝的增产21.4—24.2%,品质指标(级指)提高12.8—14.2%,担烟平均价提高22—24%。

According to the test and production survey, under the same cultivation conditions and the same number of leave leaves, the barge yield increased 21.4-24.2% than the barge barge, the quality index (grade index) increased 12.8-14.2%, and the average cigarette smoking price increased 22-24%.
