Shuibuya Water Control Project is located in the middle reach of the Qingjiang River and is the leading reservoir for the development of the following reach of Enshi. The water catchment area of the dam is 1 0 80 6 km2, accounting for 64% of the whole basin. The reservoir has a normal water level of 40 0 m and a stagnant water level of 35 0 m. The reservoir has a total storage capacity of 458 million m3, of which 283 million m3 is regulated and 25.5% of which is a reservoir capacity with a multi-year regulatory capacity.
