一、试验目的白榆的种源试验在世界各国已受到普遍重视,我国的试验在中林所主持下,正在深入开展。正确地选择种源可提高材积生产力的20~30%或更多。我区营造榆树从外地引入大量种籽,但由于产地不清,种籽混杂,生长差异很大。为更好地挖掘和发挥白榆的生产潜力,提高产量,为我区半干旱、干旱地区培选出最适宜的榆树良种种源采区。我们于1980年参加了全国白榆种源研究协作课题,在我院如意和试验林场进行了白榆不同种源育苗试验,并取得了一定成绩。
