波兰设计师帕维尔·彼得罗夫斯基近日推出一款“三明治”图书，书中每一页都淋漓尽致地展现了典型三明治的配料。不得不让人感叹一句“书中自有三明治”！今天我们就一起看看三明治的主要配料，与各种蔬菜有关的英文谚语！
1. salad days（“青葱岁月”，也就是少不更事，没有阅历的一段时间）
John was in his salad days then and fell in love easily.
约翰当时少不更事，轻易就坠入了情网。
2. beet red（窘得满脸通红）
When she realized her mistake， she turned beet red.
她意识到自己出错时，满脸通红。
3. like two peas in a pod（一模一样）
The twins are like two peas in a pod.
那对双胞胎长得一模一样。
4. as cool as a cucumber（泰然自若）
Even in the emergency， she remained as cool as a cucumber.
即便遭遇突发事件，她也能保持沉着冷静。
