INTRODUCTION As early as in 1972 Vesi (?) has noted some deficiencies of the classical elasto-plastic theory in the mechanism analysis of the static penetrating test, and proposed that the possibility of inducing a large amount of compression around the cone should be considered. The estimation of volumetric changes in the plastic zone has used an empirical approximation formula. It can also be applied to the analysis of lateral pressure meters (replaced as planar subjects), but the determination of the approximate formula has considerable arbitrariness. In 1978, France, Cassan’s book “In-Situ Geotechnical Test and Soil Mechanics” introduced the research results of A. Carrére. Carrére believes that there is a high pressure area around the lateral pressure probe. The soil in the area is positive.
