德国位于欧洲中部,处于大西洋和东部大陆性气候带之间的凉爽的西风带。年降雨量1000毫米左右,均匀分布在一年四季。冬季平均气温1.5℃(平原)和6℃(山区),七月份平均气温18～20℃。德国从北到南分为5个地形区,森林主要分布在西南部中等山脉梯形地带、南部阿尔卑斯山前沿地带以及巴伐利亚山区。森林覆盖率为30%。目前,德国全境几乎已无荒山荒地,因此造林工作主要集中在更新造林上,其明显特点有:
Germany is located in central Europe, in the cool westerlies between the Atlantic and eastern continental climates. Annual rainfall of about 1000 mm, evenly distributed throughout the year. The average temperature in winter is 1.5 ℃ (plain) and 6 ℃ (mountainous area), and the average temperature in July is 18 ~ 20 ℃. Germany is divided into five terrain areas from north to south. Forests are mainly distributed in the mid-level mountain ranges in the southwest, the southern Alps and the Bavarian mountains. Forest coverage is 30%.
