60余年一遇的黄河大荔段的严重凌汛,牵动着国务院领导同志的心。水利部长钮茂生受姜春云副总理委托,2月7日至8日察看了大荔的灾情,对灾区群众进行了慰问。 2月7日下午,钮茂生下飞机后即在省委副书记蔡竹林、副省长主双锡的陪同下直奔黄河岸边的凌水灾区察看灾情。是夜住宿于大荔县的钮茂生一行,听取了省水利厅、渭南市领导关于此次灾情及救灾工作的情况汇报。当钮茂生得知兰州空军先后4天出动飞机31架次,用576枚总重达246吨的炸弹对河道积冰实施轰炸,打通了黄河的“中梗阻”这一关键情节后,钮茂生代表姜春云副总理和国家防总、水利部,向始终奋战在抢险救灾第一线的解放军官兵和所有救灾人员表示深深地谢意。
