《文献通考·经籍考》不但以总序和类序简要说明我国历代藏书制度和规模,更在各小类中著录图书计四千三百余种。《经籍考》所录图书中有五十八种重复出现于该目录,其中有三十九种属于互著。《经籍考》中的互著现象主要由两个原因导致:一是据《文献通考》全书处理史料的辑录之法而在《经籍考》中尽力保存前代书目旧貌,二是马端临践行“书有两用”的观念而主动互著。《经籍考》只有一条互著在目录解题中有典型的互著说明,但这并不能否定书中互著之法的大量存在。

There is only one interdependent explanation of the “Merit Examination” in the catalog problem solving, but this does not deny the existence of the mutual existence of the law in the book.
