According to the Japanese magazine, intelligent computers with similar functions as human brain cells have been used for the first time in the field of production. A distillation column monitoring system developed by Japan’s Fujitsu Ltd. and its automated computer company is a new system for diagnosing abnormal distillation column failures in petrochemical plants and can also be used to predict accidental accidents in the steel industry.
