沙眼是我国一个普通流行的慢性传染性眼病,据统计沙眼患者约占全国人口1/2,这是因为过去旧社会反动政府对广大劳动人民进行残酷的剥削使生活环境恶劣,疫癘流行,连年不息所造成的,解放以后,党不仅领导我们进行着伟大的社会主义建设,并处处关心人民的健康,进行了史无前例的除害灭病讲卫生运动,移风易俗,改变生活,人们健康水平都普遍提高,去年十月卫生部又提出了十年之内在全国消灭沙眼的宏伟规划,接着江西省卫生厅也制定了全省三年消灭沙眼的计划,我们全所人员看到这消息后,无不欢欣鼓午,有决心有信心和全省人民一道共同完成这一光荣的任务。
Trachoma is a common epidemic of chronic infectious eye disease in China. According to statistics, trachoma accounts for about 1/2 of the population of the country. Then the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Health also formulated a plan to eradicate trachoma in the whole province for three years. After all the staff of our department read the news, they all rejoiced Drum, determination and confidence with the people of the province to work together to accomplish this glorious task.
