英国资产阶级作家赫伯特·威尔斯所著《俄罗斯之谜》一书的中文版最近已由三联书店出版。这部书是1921年在伦敦出版的,写的是他在1920年访问苏维埃俄国时期的一些见闻,以及他对俄国共产党人、处在襁褓中的苏维埃政权和新生的社会主义制度的看法。当时威尔斯主要访问的地方是彼得格勒和莫斯科,他不仅详细地考查了十月革命后俄国所发生的翻天复地的变化,还接触了不少共产党员及一些有各种政治色彩的资产阶级文化人。他并且会见了无产阶级革命导师列宁。
The Chinese version of The Mystery of Russia by Herbert Wells, a British bourgeois writer, was recently published by the Joint Bookshop. The book, published in London in 1921, contains some insight into his visit to Soviet Russia in 1920 and his views on Russian Communists, the infamous Soviet government and a nascent socialist system. At the time, Wales visited Petrodore and Moscow in major ways. He not only examined in detail the earth-shaking changes that took place in Russia after the October Revolution, but also exposed many Communists and politicians of various political backgrounds Bourgeois culture. He also met Lenin, a proletarian revolutionary mentor.
