日本的最高科技决策机构——科学技术会议最近要求日本政府尽快把研究与开发经费增加一倍,以便把基础研究集中到寻求全人类利益的项目上。据《日本科学技术》杂志报道,日本政府于一九九○年六月二十二日曾就二十一世纪科技发展战略问题向科学技术会议提出咨询,为此,科学技术会议于今年一月二十四日呈交一份答询报告,科技经费翻番就是其中的建议之一。报告的要点如下:一,日本科技政策的基本目标。
