This article describes the new simple slump meter, known as the “K-type slump instrument” It can measure the concrete slump in 1 minute. The instrument has conducted more than 450 tests at several test centers and found that there is a good correlation between the K-slump measured with this apparatus and the results obtained with a standard conical slumpmeter. This instrument is easy to use and economical. Control of the quality of fresh concrete is a very important requirement for obtaining strong and durable concrete.
