Netfinity 4000R“瘦服务器”是IBM公司发动向应用服务提供商和Intemet服务提供商提供硬件、软件和服务市场攻势的核心产品。Netfinity 4000R服务器定位:FWeb主机服务,1O月底面市。该服务器是目前市场上最小的ISP服务器之一,因此服务提供商可以在单个的机架上安装多达42个服务器,从而可以获得巨大密度的计算处理能力。Netfinity 4000R服务器将支持英特尔公司的550MHz Pentium ⅢXeon处理器,配有一个容量达1.5TB的大硬盘和2GB内存。
The Netfinity 4000R “thin server” is at the core of IBM’s offensive marketing of hardware, software and services to application service providers and Internet service providers. Netfinity 4000R server positioning: FWeb hosting service, 1O end of the market. The server is one of the smallest ISP servers on the market today, so service providers can have as many as 42 servers in a single rack, giving them huge amounts of compute power. The Netfinity 4000R server will support Intel’s 550MHz Pentium III Xeon processor with a large 1.5TB hard drive and 2GB of memory.
