马列主义、毛泽东思想是四项基本原则中的一项,是其他三项原则的理论基础,是建设具有中国特色的社会主义的指导思想。是否坚持马列主义、毛泽东思想,关系我们党和国家的性质、命运和前途。对此,我们必须有充分的认识。党的十二届六中全会通过的《关于社会主义精神文明建设指导方针的决议》指出:“坚持以马列主义、毛泽东思想为指导,是我国社会主义现代化事业的根本,也是社会主义精神文明建设的根本。”《决议》的这段话,体现了我党关于马列主义、毛泽东思想在党的历史和实践中的地位和作用的一贯思想,体现了党章和宪法的根本精神。对这个问题论述最明确、最深刻的是邓小平同志。早在1977年7月21日,邓小平同志就指出:“马克思列宁主义,毛泽东思想,是我们党的指导思想。”“要对毛泽东思想有一个完整的准确的认识,要善于学习、掌握和运用毛泽东思想的体系来指导我们各项工作。”党的十一届三中全会以后,1979年3月30日,邓小平同志又指出:“为了实现四个现代化,我们必须坚持社会主义
Marxism-Leninism and Mao Zedong Thought are one of the four basic principles, the theoretical basis of the other three principles, and the guiding ideology of building socialism with Chinese characteristics. Whether or not to uphold Marxism-Leninism and Mao Zedong Thought will affect the nature, destiny and future of our party and our country. In this regard, we must have a full understanding. The “Resolution on the Guidelines for the Construction of Socialist Spiritual Civilization” adopted by the 6th Plenary Session of the 12th Central Committee of the Party states: “Insisting on using Marxism-Leninism and Mao Zedong Thought as the guide is the foundation of our socialist modernization and also the building of socialist spiritual civilization . ”The passage of the“ Resolution ”reflects our party's consistent thinking on the position and role of Marxism-Leninism and Mao Zedong Thought in the party's history and practice, and reflects the fundamental spirit of the party constitution and the constitution.
