Objective To understand the adverse reactions of chlorine disinfectants to workers in the field and provide basis for effective protective measures. Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted to investigate and analyze the non-impact of AFC non-combating chlorine-containing disinfectants on Ebola medical team members. Results A total of 28 team members from non-medical teams participated in the survey showed varying degrees of adverse reactions to the chlorine-containing disinfectants used on-site disinfection. The most irritating reactions were tearing, headache, cough and runny nose, followed by 85.71 %, 71.43%, 67.86% and 46.43% respectively. The incidence of nausea and pharyngeal foreign body sensation were 39.29% and 39.29% respectively. Conclusion In-situ disinfection of chlorine-containing disinfectants for infectious diseases has different degrees of adverse reactions to both direct and indirect exposure. The higher the concentration, the stronger the reaction. Therefore, there is an urgent need to study efficient disinfectants with low toxicity and irritation.
