催化模型是流行病学中重要的确定性模型，可为流行疾病的监控提供有效手段。在参考国内外文献的基础上，介绍了催化模型的研究与应用情况，催化模型的实际应用，以及近年来催化模型的发展和存在的不足。该模型目前已应用于十多种传染性疾病的流行病学分析，可概括这些传染病的年龄分布形式，因此可用来比较各地某种疾病的流行概况，考核其防治效果
Catalytic model is an important deterministic model in epidemiology, which can provide an effective means for the monitoring of epidemic diseases. Based on the references both at home and abroad, this paper introduces the research and application of catalytic model, the practical application of catalytic model, and the development and existing problems of catalytic model in recent years. The model has been applied to the epidemiological analysis of more than ten kinds of infectious diseases and can summarize the age distribution forms of these infectious diseases so that it can be used to compare the epidemic situation of certain diseases in various places and evaluate their control effects
