“翼状胬肉”即中医所谓胬肉攀睛,是劳动人民中常见眼科疾病。它是从眼晴的内眦或外眦部向眼球结膜增生的,其底部与结膜组织相融合。在症状进展时,胬肉逐渐肥厚、充血,内含有丰富的血管。一般生于鼻侧(即内眦部)的较多,且不断的向角膜伸展,因而引起角膜散光,影响视力,如继续发展,遮盖瞳孔就会失明。翼状胬肉的病原,目前尚不十分清楚,因此,在治疗上较为困难,一般不外药物和各种手术疗法。在药物疗法方面往往因腐蚀而引起视力减弱,或不能制止本病的发展。所以临床上多采用手术疗法,但手术疗法也限于手术纯熟的眼科医师才能操作,且复发率
