我区那些据有山杏资源的地区,近年来充分发挥这一自然优势,大搞山杏封育,发展杏核生产,取得了明显的经济效益和生态效益。1984年至1987年四年间,全区封育山杏面积达130多万亩。据自治区外贸部门统计,1980年至1985年六年间,全区收购杏核计8717吨,产值为600多万元。山杏是我区重要的野生资源,东起大兴安岭,西至大青山广为分布,它不但是荒山造林的先锋树种,同时又有较高的经济价值。山杏仁含有大量脂肪、蛋白质和糖类,是上好的糕点配料,在医疗上还可入药,具有驱风、散寒、镇咳等作用。杏核油除食用外,在工业上可作润滑油、钟表油、高级涂料及化妆品原料。我区每年出口的山杏核已跻身于“拳头”产品之列。

Mountain region of Shandong apricot exports have been among the “fist” products.
